Lyly, from the U.S., had an Internship in a Social Enterprise Organization as Project Assistant.

My name is Lyly Zothang, from the States, and I graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary. I achieved my undergraduate degree in BA International Business, and currently pursuing my Master degree in Master of Science in Nonprofit Management. I came to Chengdu, China, for an internship for my studies, as well as experiencing the culture and, most importantly, the desire to learn new great things.

During my Internship, I had opportunity to work in different areas for Social Enterprise Organization sector. My focus at work was Project Assistant, liaising with the team in Business Development for Western markets. My tasks included drafting marketing proposals, and assisting in conducting field trips to one of its community projects in Tibetan region of Sichuan.

I enjoyed every moment of my time working with the team who are passionate about the work that they do, and whose mission is to inspire others through their work and volunteering in community projects for embedding the environment in sustainable development.

 .

The most rewarding experience I had, has been spending a week in Tibetan region and having a one-on-one conversation with the “Asia Internship coordinator”, in which we discussed the culture and other business opportunity.

Asia Internship helped me overcome any obstacles that I encounter, and guided me through my exploration of the City during my first week in Chengdu. They were always there to assists me, whenever I needed any assistance, whether I was at the shopping center, lost in the middle of nowhere; or when I had forgotten my bus station number. They even helped me to order food and have it delivered to my complex!

They were always there to assists 24/7, and they made sure that I was safe and sound. They have the greatest team, who supported me thoroughly during my stay in China.

Because of Asia Internship, I was able to face essential challenges as well as enhancing my education background, knowledge, and professional growth. I also got to experience all the adventures, I had look forward having during my short period in China.

I definitely want to come back to Chengdu, and looking for another internship opportunity with Asia Internship program
