Position Description

Biological research and development staff (Enzymatic detection)


Responsibilities


  • Execute protein activity detection methods, analyze the in vitro activity of compounds, assist in analyzing the data of structure-activity relationships, assist in promoting R&D projects.

  • Write and edit research reports and standard operating procedures in English


Requirements


  • Understand basic enzymology theory, especially enzymatic reaction kinetics; understand in vitro enzymatic methods for the detection of drugs, including fluorescence detection, chemiluminescence, ELISA and time-resolved fluorescence.

  • Preference given to candidates with good knowledge of biophysical detection methods e.g. SPR, ITC, TSA.

  • Experience preferred.

  • Undergraduates should attach their academic transcripts; graduates should attach their research summaries.

  • Skilled at reading English-language scientific literature.

Biological R&D (Protein purification)


Responsibilities


  • Manage the expression and purification of molecular cloning and E. Coli systems.

  • Manage the large scale expression of insect and mammal cells and the construction of stable cell lines.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree and above in cell biology, molecular biology or other related fields.

  • Good knowledge of protein expression and purification, protein crystal, experience with insect and mammal cell cultivation and expression.

  • Passionate about technology and research.

Advanced biological research and development staff (molecular biology)


Responsibilities


  • Design molecular biology experimental independently, solve the problems of DNA in a chemical reaction

  • Conduct and improve various molecular biology experiments, including cloning, plasmid extraction, purifying PCR products, PCR amplification, identification of electrophoresis, DNA quantification

  • Find and solve technology problems in the development process; discuss these with the biological technology unit.

  • Develop new technology and methods, improve SOP

  • Write academic reports, write and edit the English-language experimental record and SOP

  • Other tasks connected with technology development.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree and above in biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular biology or other related major; at least two years of work experience.

  • Master basic skills of molecular biology well, especially the structure of DNA and its stability

  • Proficient in using genome databases, nucleic acid sequence databases, etc. Be familiar with common bio-websites.

  • Able to understand English-language scientific literature.

  • Responsible and logical; with good time-management skills.

  • Independent problem-solver.

  • Good team player.

Biological research and development staff (cell biology)


Responsibilities


  • Design cellular level drug evaluation experiments, optimize and verify methods and use these to write up SOP.

  • Take responsibility for Efficacy evaluation tests of Compound levels, write official experimental records and reports.

  • Take responsibility for maintaining cell bank reserves.

  • Find and solve technology problems during the development process.

  • Support project manager in finishing cell function analysis in related projects.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree and above in cell biology or molecular biology, with two years’ experience in the field.

  • Good knowledge of the theoretical basis of cell biology.

  • Experience in cultivating mammal cells with skills including cell cultivation, cell transfection, stable cell line screening, flow cytometry, molecular cloning.

  • Background or work experience in cell-level screening of drugs preferred.

  • Good data analysis skills.

  • Understand English-language scientific literature.

  • Responsible, careful and good team player.

Biological research and development staff (molecular biology)

Responsibilities


  • Encode small molecule library DNA.

  • Encode DNA according to SOP, assist in developing new encoding technology.

  • Find and solve technology problems in the development process; and discuss these with the bio-technology unit.

  • Write and edit research English-language reports and SOP.


Requirements


  • Degree in biological sciences, biochemistry, molecular biology or related fields.

  • Associate degree and above, experience preferred.

  • Working experience in DNA molecular biology preferred.

  • Critical and independent thinker.

  • Skilled at literature review.

  • Fluent written English.

  • Responsible scientist with good experimental skills.

Biological research and development staff (Drug Screening)

Responsibilities


  • Handle affinity screening of target proteins done by DNA coding compound libraries.

  • Assist in advancing R&D projects.

  • Find and solve technology problems in the development process.

  • Support project manager with finishing drug affinity screening work in related programs.

  • Responsible for technical support and customer exchanges.

  • Write and edit English-language research reports and SOP.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree and above in molecular biology, proteomics, enzymology, pharmacy or other bio-related subjects.

  • Good understanding of the basic theory of enzymology, interactions between proteins and small molecules, quantitative PCR, gel electrophoresis, Western Blot, ELISA, etc.

  • Able to do basic in vitro enzymatic detection, experience in IC50 Detection, enzyme kinetic parameters (Km,KD, etc.) preferred.

  • Experience in drug screening or related fields preferred.

  • Skilled at reading and writing English-language scientific literature.

Advanced computational chemistry research and development staff

Responsibilities


  • Design and optimize small molecule inhibitors.

  • Do virtual screening based on ligands and structures.

  • Establish QSAR models and data analysis.

  • Assist with surveying for new projects.


Requirements


  • Ph.D. in chemical or pharmaceutical fields.

  • Proficient in molecular docking and virtual screening.

  • Proficient in using simulation software such as Discovery studio, MOE, Schrodinger and PyMol.

  • Proficient in at least one major programming language.

  • Fluent oral and written English.



Advanced Analytics R & D staff

Responsibilities


  • Lead the efforts for analytical development studies within the ARD department; act as project leader in analytical development projects.

  • Plan and execute analytical method development and validation for drug substances and products; perform sample analyses including samples for drug substances/products used for clinical trials.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the activities of scientific staff within the assigned group.

  • Take responsibility for all post-planning stages of project management. Assist interaction with partners by issuing project reports, hosting site visits and through tele-conferences.

  • Improve operation efficiency and productivity while ensuring the current quality systems are in full compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.

  • Perform daily management of the analytical labs; conduct group training in technology and compliance as needed.


Requirements


  • Ph.D. or master’s degree in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis or other directly-related scientific disciplines, with experience or training in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis or equivalent experience.

  • Very strong independent analysis and research capabilities, especially experience in DNA analysis methods, high throughput analysis, separation methods, biological macro-molecules analysis.

  • Love analysis work, willing to innovate. Excellent problem solver.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in English,and outstanding interpersonal skills.



Analytical chemistry research and development staff


Responsibilities


  • Responsible for LC-MS instrument management, method set-up and optimization, detecting nucleic acid-based compounds.

  • Responsible for the development and optimization of liquids and other specific sample detection methods.

  • Responsible for preparative liquid separation and sample purification

  • Assist with organizing the lab.

  • Responsible for device daily use and maintenance, including record-keeping.

  • Deal with other related problems in the drug development process.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, chemistry or other related fields with at least 2 years working experience.

  • Able to establish liquid compound and other detection methods.

  • Experience in analyzing mass nucleic acid-based compounds or ADME preferred.

  • Proficient in verification operation, experienced in operating liquid and other equipment

  • Able to use Office software.

  • Active team member.



Chemical R & D staff (Medicinal chemistry)


Responsibilities


  • Carry out chemical synthesis and solve experimental problems.

  • Summarize experimental data and write records.

  • Communicate with all involved parties to ensure the quality and quantity of compound synthesis.

  • Finish part of the synthetic route design of compound.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree in medicinal or organic chemistry; or Bachelor’s degree with at least two years working experience.

  • Able to understand and use English-language scientific literature.

  • Good experimental skills.

  • Motivated and responsible team member.
